Fix A Rechargeable Nicd Battery

Game Controls Run Quickly Through Batteries

Gaming requires courage to jump into the unknown, quick reflexes and a never-ending supply of AA batteries. Nickel cadmium (Nicd) batteries are more expensive than standard alkaline batteries, but their recharging capability makes them an ideal choice for gaming. When Nicd batteries no longer hold a charge, they can be fixed by "jump-starting" them, similar to how you would jump-start a dead car battery.

Instructions

Fix Rechargeable Nicd Battery

1. Locate the positive and negative charge ends of the Nicd rechargeable battery. The positive end should be raised, while the negative end is flat.

2. Place the black alligator clamp from the 12-volt battery on the negative end of the Nicd. This will serve as the ground wire during the recharging process.

3. Touch the red alligator clamp from the 12-volt battery to the positive end of the battery. Tap this end of the Nicd battery two to three times within a few seconds.

4. Hold both red and black wires to the Nicd battery simultaneously for a maximum of three seconds and then release them.

5. Allow the Nicd rechargeable battery to sit and cool for 15 minutes and then retest the battery charge level.

6. Repeat the recharge process if necessary.
