Use A Canon 20d

The 20D is a solid choice for beginning photographers.

The Canon 20D is a mid-level DSLR camera. It offers the benefits of a quality DSLR, such as interchangeable lenses, without the high price tag of more advanced models. Canon designed several automatic features into the camera to make shooting as simple as possible. The fully automatic mode will adjust every setting to correspond to the current environment, which results in an acceptable image in most situations. As always, the best way to learn a camera is to spend time behind the lens.

Instructions

Preparations

1. Insert a fully-charged battery into the bottom of the camera by pulling the release tab and then swinging the cover outward. Place it in the correct orientation as shown and close the cover.

2. Insert a CompactFlash card by pushing the memory card slot outward, then swinging the cover open. Gently push the card inward and close the cover.

3. Remove the lens cap and turn on the camera by flipping the switch on the back.

4. Put the camera in fully automatic mode by turning the dial on top to the rectangle icon.

5. Set the lens to auto focus by flipping the switch on it to "AF".

6. Aim the camera at the subject and press the shutter button halfway to gain focus.

7. Press the shutter button fully to take the photo. The built-in flash will fire if necessary. Look at the LCD display for a brief review of the image.

Reviewing and Deleting Photos
