Emerson is an electronics company that produces a wide variety of products, including televisions. All of the company's televisions come with a remote control, but because of the remote control's small size, it can be easily lost or damaged. Some elements on an Emerson television can not be accessed without a remote control, so it is important to replace it when you get the chance. Universal remote controls can be found at most grocery, discount and electronics stores.
Instructions
1. Put the batteries into the universal remote control.
2. Press the "Power" button on the Emerson TV.
3. Point the remote at the TV and press and hold down the "Code Search" button (the actual button may vary slightly depending on the make and model of remote control).
4. Push the "TV" button on the remote control, then let go of the "Code Search" button.
5. Press the three digit access code for the Emerson TV. Several codes work with Emerson products, including 011, 026, 027, 028, 029, 030, 031, 032, 037, 042, 053, 064, 065, 067, 075, 076, 079. Start with the first one on the list.
6. Press the button to change the channel on the remote. If the Emerson TV's channel changes, the remote-control programming has worked. If not, try again, beginning with Step 3 and using the next access code on the list.
