Transport your digital images with a flash drive.
Don't limit sharing digital images to email, online photo albums or posts on a social networking website. Transferring digital images to a flash drive allows you to share hundreds -- or thousands -- of images without the hassle of exchanging albums filled with printed photos. The transfer process may take minutes, or hours, depending on the quantity and size of files transferred. Since flash drives attach to a computer via USB port, images can transfer from any desktop or laptop computer containing a USB drive.
Instructions
1. Insert the rectangular, metal end of the flash drive into the computer's USB port on the front or back of the computer tower, or the side of a laptop.
2. Look for a pop-up message on your computer screen indicating a new storage device has been found. Click twice on the new drive represented by the flash drive. Leave the pop-up screen open.
3. Click on the folder containing the photos to transfer. Press "Ctrl" + "A" to choose all of the images, or "Shift" plus left-mouse click on each photo to transfer.
4. Hover over the flash drive pop-up screen. Right-click the mouse and choose "Paste" to transfer the images. After the transfer completes, remove the flash drive from the USB port.
