Know If My Nextel Phone Number Is Disconnected

One call is all it takes to know whether your Nextel phone is active.


Whether you are concerned that calls aren't making their way through to your phone or you're just looking to ensure that your account cancellation was successful, it's understandable that you would want to know why you're not receiving calls. Verification of service discontinuation is a pretty obscure thing on the user end -- your mobile phone might still show service is available and you might be able to make calls. As with many things, the best course of action is to go directly to the source.


Instructions


1. Call Nextel at 800-639-6111 from a phone other than the one that you are trying to check. Before your call, make sure that you have the account holder name and phone number.


2. Press "0."


3. Press "2," "4" and "6."


4. Provide the operator with all necessary information and ask whether the phone number has been disconnected.
